Football success for two former DHS pupils!

Firstly, Ryan Porteous lifted the Scottish Youth Cup last night at Hampden Park. (Defeated Aberdeen 3-1) Many of you will be well aware of the success Ryan has had already playing in the Hibs first team.
In addition, Kieran Watson lifted the Under 20 East of Scotland/Lowland league trophy playing for Edinburgh City. They defeated Spartans 2-0 in the final.

School Meals – Price Increase

Price Increase – August 18
As per the Council decision in February 18 school meals will increase by 10p per meal. This will make Primary meals £2.00/High School meal deals £2.20/Teachers meals £2.70 plus vat. Individual items will rise accordingly.

Transition Visits
The Council decided to continue with free meals for P7 pupils on transition visits. This includes their June visits and the first day of the new term.

Dalkeith High School is the top-ranked Midlothian secondary school!

According to the recently-published list of the top performing state secondary schools in Scotland by The Times, Dalkeith High School is the top-ranked Midlothian secondary school with our nearest competitor ten places below us.  The list has been compiled using data on attainment at Higher level supplied by Scottish Government and compares performance between schools with similar catchment areas.

Dalkeith High School has also made it into the top third of the table of all state secondary schools in Scotland – the only Midlothian school to do so.
