As part of our focus week ‘DHS Remembers’, our History Department thought that it would be a nice opportunity for staff, pupils and parents to reflect on the contributions made by their own families during the Great War (1914-1918).
If you have a family member who fought in the war or contributed in the Home Front and you would like to share their story, it would be great if you could complete the attached document. I have attached one for my great uncle who was a Royal Engineer and died in 1917 aged only 20 years old.
It would be fantastic for our pupils to see how the war impacted families in our local area.
Completed profiles should be sent to me either by email or hard copy by Wednesday 7th November. They will be displayed on our wall of remembrance in block 1.
