If you would like to get involved in this scheme, you can collect a box from Mr Duncan in Geography.
Anyone who has any small gifts that would be suitable for the boxes, can also hand them in to Mr Duncan.

Various organisations are looking for apprentices – you may find with companies like Leonardo that they open applications now but will not start the apprentice until July / August.
Leonardo (they make the electronics for fighter jets / military planes) also recruit every year
Network Rail are looking for students to participate in their graduate and placement opportunities (tend to recruit on a regular basis also)
BBC also seem to be looking for production apprentices and trainees – have a look at bbc.co.uk and search for careers and then click on the tab “apprenticeships and traineeships.”

15 Modern Studies Advanced Higher and Higher pupils were given a unique opportunity on the 5TH November to take part in the democratic process. The entire Scottish Cabinet were hosting a question and answer session in the Ladywood Centre, Penicuik. The discussion was very open, and we can verify that the Cabinet did not see the questions beforehand. The Question and Answer session lasted for 1 hour 30 minutes, and afterwards the Cabinet had tea with the audience. Many of our students took this opportunity to be photographed with Nicola Sturgeon, and to speak with Ministers. This was an amazing insight into the workings of Cabinet, and students very much enjoyed the experience.
