There are outbreaks of measles in the UK, Europe and the USA. Measles is very infectious but can be prevented with MMR vaccine. MMR protects against mumps and rubella too.

The Junior Awards Ceremony will take place on Tuesday 11th June at 7pm. This celebrates the achievements of our S1-S3 pupils over the last year. Those who have been nominated for a prize will be informed on Friday 31st May. Lists will be displayed at the ballerina.

Congratulations to Amie-Louise Cousins, 3L2, who has won silver at her first outdoor archery classification shoot of the year!
Jamie Rae and Sam Sutherland, S3, have spent the last few weekends competing in the Lothian Schools Rugby 7s Tournament with their team Ross High RFC. They made it through to the finals in the U15s league but were beaten in the last game. The winning team was their only defeat in the full tournament.

Congratulations to Jamie Macleod, 2M1, who won the Willie Bauld Memorial Trophy with his football team Hutchison Vale. The game was played at Tynecastle and Jamie scored the winning goal which was then shared on Youth Football Scotland’s website/twitter/Facebook as below:

April was a busy month for Lisa Ferguson, 2D1, at her Highland Dancing Championships achieving 4th overall at the European Championships and 5th overall at The City of Aberdeen Championship. Well done Lisa!
