Update from the Headteacher – Wednesday 3 June 2020

Dear Parent/Carer,

I hope that all in the family are well and beginning to enjoy the slight easing of lockdown restrictions.

As we come ever closer to the end of the school session, it is important to recognise the achievements of our pupils.  We normally hold two events in school to do this: the BGE Awards Ceremony normally held in June, and the Senior Phase Awards Ceremony normally held in September.  Our intention is to hold a virtual BGE Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, 23rd June to celebrate the achievements of our younger pupils.  Mr McGlade and Mrs Hogg will organise the event are busy working behind the scenes to gather information from staff and put together a programme that we will share with you online.  Please watch this space for further information.

We will turn our attention to the Senior Phase Awards Ceremony on our return to school in August, working with the public health advice available at that time.  This ceremony is planned for September to allow the awards to reflect achievement in the SQA national qualifications.

Kind regards,

Allyson Dobson
