We are now well into the first week of the new virtual timetable and I am pleased to be able to say that I am impressed at the way in which our pupils have been engaging with their at-home learning. This is important for us to ensure that pupils make a good start to the new timetable, in particular for the senior phase pupils who will be working towards national qualifications at the end of the session. I would be grateful if parents/carers of senior phase pupils could continue to encourage them to engage with the learning set by teachers. We are still awaiting information from SQA about the way in which assessments will take place in the new session, but I will share this with you as soon as I have it.
Staff have been busy writing S1 progress reports and these will be posted out today. I hope that parents/carers of S1 pupils will enjoy being able to read about the progress that our S1 pupils have made over the course of the session leading up to the closure of the school and beyond.
You will be aware that we had planned to hold Susti, our suspended timetable programme, on the last week of term. Obviously this will now be taking place and learning activities will continue to be set by teachers up to Friday, 26th June which is the end of term.
Thank you for your ongoing support.
