Update from the Headteacher 20 January 2021

Dear Parent/Carer,

You will be aware that Nicola Sturgeon, First Minister, made the announcement in the Scottish Parliament today that lockdown measures will be in place until at least the middle of February with most pupils to continue to learn from home. The First Minister hopes schools will at least begin a phased return to the classroom from the middle of next month. This will be reviewed on Tuesday, 2nd February when she hopes to provide a firmer timetable for a return.

I know that many of you will have anticipated this news but it is still disappointing that we will not be able to return to in-school learning for all pupils for an extended period of time.  For now, we will continue to offer high quality online learning with the Hub being available for the children of key workers and those pupils who we need to have in school for wellbeing reasons.

I would like to record my thanks to all of our families who continue to work with us as we chart a course through this challenging time.  A full newsletter will be issued on Friday as usual.

Kind regards,

Allyson Dobson
