Celebrating Achievement – Bethan May

On the 30th November Bethan May (1D1) attended the BATD Highland Dance Scholarships which she had been nominated for following excellent highland dance exam results. All her hard work paid off. Out of all the candidates who attended, Bethan won the overall junior theory scholarship for her written assessment.

Congratulations Bethan, we are super proud of you!

Celebrating Achievement – Southside Starlets

Dance team the Southside Starlets produced a phenomenal result at the finals of Dance Challenge UK following months of hard work and preparation.
At the Winter Gardens in Blackpool on 16th November they won a first place, two seconds and the Overall Winners trophy which came with a £1000 prize.
In the team are the very talented DHS pupils Alice McDonald, Emily Kelly, Isla Smith and Bethan May.
