Recoursing Arrangements for Pupils in S5 and S6

Following on from the release of examination results, it may be necessary for your son/daughter to amend course choice for session 2026-27.

To this end, an email will be sent to you on Monday 3 August offering times at the start of term when your son/daughter can schedule a coursing appointment.  Parents are welcome to attend these interviews.

Appointments will fill up fast so please ensure that if exam results are not as expected, you do not miss the email on 3 August.

We are delighted that thousands of Midlothian parents and carers have now signed up to the parentsportal.scot.

Parentsportal.scot users can:

• Report a pupil’s absence via the app at a time that is convenient
• Review contact and medical details and keep these up to date
• Complete the Annual Data Check
• Primary school pupils can apply for child’s free bus travel card
• Permission slips are currently being rolled out and can be completed via the app.
• Link to ParentPay to make online payments for trips and lunches etc.
