Dalkeith High School Curriculum Pathways Evening – 11 November 2025

Monday 3rd November 2025

On the evening of Tuesday 11 November – from 5pm to 7pm – we will be holding our Dalkeith High School Curriculum Pathways Evening.

During the event, teachers from all the departments in the school will be on hand to provide information and advice about pathways through the subjects and experiences the school and our partners offer. Parents and carers, as well as pupils from S2 to S6, are encouraged to attend.

Taking place on the same night on the campus, is the first in a series of career-themed events running across Midlothian high schools in November. The events are organised in conjunction with Developing the Young Workforce and are intended for S4 – S6 pupils. Showcased will be the diverse work, training and education opportunities out there for young people. Pupils will be able to explore pathways that align with their passions and strengths.

Parents and pupils are invited to attend the Careers That Shape Lives Spotlight Session that takes place on 11 November, but are also encouraged to attend the Spotlight Sessions that take place at other schools on different dates in November. The Spotlight Sessions are open to ALL S4 – S6 pupils and parents, no matter which school they attend.

Attached are posters listing the employers, colleges and universities that will have a stall at each Spotlight Session. On each poster is a QR Code that leads to a booking form for that evening’s ‘Insight Career Talks’. These talks will be delivered by professionals working in the relevant sector. If you are unable to access the QR Code, click on the following link: https://forms.gle/ETVvH482ySB8Pxtz9

Please book places on talks in advance of each event and use the slides linked to below to help prepare for your visit on the night of any of the events.
