Department Information
The Enhanced Complex Needs Base in Dalkeith High School is one of four Midlothian secondary provisions which support pupils with a range of complex needs. Pupils are allocated a space at the Placement Advisory Group which meets regularly throughout the year.
The staff within the Enhanced Complex Needs Base work closely with primary school staff and parents to provide pupils with an enhanced transition programme as they move into high school.
We provide a varied curriculum tailored to individual need with a focus on literacy, numeracy and health and wellbeing.
Through the use of the Seesaw app, we communicate daily with parents and share updates on their child’s day. Completed work and photographs can also be shared via Seesaw allowing parents real time information.
