Calendar

YPI
On Wednesday we will be launching this year’s Youth Philanthropy Initiative to the S2. This programme is an amazing opportunity for young people to engage with their community, raise money for charity and develop skills. All pupils will be taking part, and if you would like more details please CLICK HERE to access YPI website.

Staffing
We interviewed for a teacher in the Hive provision last week and have a preferred candidate to start as soon as possible – more details to follow.
Mr Craig has taken up the temporary post of Curriculum Leader – Global Citizenship.
This week we are interviewing for Learning Assistants in the mainstream and Hive provision.

Dress-Down Day
The Senior Pupil Leadership Team are organising a dress-down day for this Friday (11.10.24). Pupils can wear casual clothes (but they should still be school appropriate). Pupils who dress-down can donate £1 if they are able to. Money raised will be allocated to a range of good causes. Please note that football colours are not permitted.

S1 Halloween Disco
The Polar Academy Team will be running an S1 Halloween Disco on Tuesday 29 October, 1900 – 2100. Tickets are £5 and available from the school office this week.

Holidays
School will be closed to pupils for the October holiday from Monday 14 October until Tuesday 22 October. I hope everyone on holiday has a relaxing break.
