Friday 26th September 2025
Dear Parent/Carer,
We have been celebrating European Day of Languages this week with many of our young people making tannoy announcements in their mother tongue language! Thank you to everyone who took part in this celebration and congratulations to the Duolingo winners!
We also had fun celebrating Maths week with daily Maths challenges and a Maths treasure hunt. It was great to see the excitement amongst our pupils when trying to find all of the hiding places across the school.
The S6 prefects have been doing well carrying out their duties over the past couple of weeks. It’s been great to see them take ownership of their roles.
Since my last bulletin, we appointed a Business Manager and once pre-employment checks are complete, I will introduce our new member of the Senior Leadership Team.
We currently have two Learning Support Assistant posts which are live. We are interviewing for a Modern Languages Teacher role on Friday 26th September.
I want to thank parents who came along to our last Parent Partnership meeting where we discussed curriculum amongst other topics. Look out on the school website for the minutes if you could not attend.
Take care
Emma Ormerod
