MEDIA STUDIES: National 4 & 5
These courses enable learners to analyse and create media texts such as films, magazines, television advertising and newspapers. Learners will be taught how to think critically about the media and its role in everyday life. They will also develop an appreciation of media in a cultural context and in the context of the media industry.

The purpose of this Unit is to develop the skills needed to analyse media content.
Creating Media Content
The purpose of the Unit is to develop the skills needed to plan and create straightforward media content and to comment on production processes.
Added Value Unit: Media Assignment
Learners analyse, plan, create and evaluate media content chosen on a topic that develops their personal interests.
National 5 (2 Units)
