Coursing interviews for pupils currently in S4 and S5 will take place from Monday 27 January to Tuesday 18 February. Pupils will be given an appointment time to meet with their Pupil Support Leader. Pupils should bring to the interview a completed option sheet, signed by a parent or carer. If any amendments are made during the coursing interview, pupils will be given a fresh form to take home, indicating the changes. On Friday 24 January, pupils will be given a note of likely progression levels and/or new subject recommendations.
Below is a link to the option booklet. The booklet explains the courses available to pupils entering S5 and S6. Reading of the introduction to the booklet is essential prior to making choices. Courses offered through our partners as part of the Midlothian Aligned Curriculum Offer (MACO) can be seen in the MACO brochure, and details of further college courses are on the Edinburgh College website.
Also at the bottom of this page is a link to the video from November’s Curriculum Pathways Evening. The video provides information about the curriculum at Dalkeith High School and it also explains the different types of courses and opportunities on offer.
