Wear & Share at Dalkeith High School

Dalkeith High School is keen to help the environment in as many ways as possible.

We are concerned about what happens to items of school uniform that pupils have outgrown or are no longer needed.

In collaboration with the Parent Council, we have established a ‘Wear and Share’ scheme which we encourage all families in our community to participate in.

Donations of items of clothing no longer needed can be handed into the school office.  The Parent Council will arrange for the donated items to be made available to other families at minimum costs. Dates that the items will be available to buy will be communicated to our school community through the Parent Council/PTA Facebook page and through the school’s Twitter account.

Items that could be donated include blazers, ties, jumpers etc.  We are also keen to collect items of clothing that our S6 pupils could make use of at the S6 Prom.

I am sure that you will agree that this initiative will help reduce waste as well as raise funds for the school.

Our Vision Statement

Following an extensive period of consultation with pupils, staff and parents/carers, we have agreed our vision statement which will guide us as we move forward with further improvements to our school.
